XiaoXiaoShow v1.0 by Elynx (gael.giraudeau@laposte.net)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This game is a tribute for all the creation on the net related to "stick men" or "xiao" as i call them.
(For more info, check out www.stickpage.com or www.xiaoxiaomovie.com ... it's very funny!)

It is A 2-player Fight Game in a 2D map.

you are a XIAO and you must kick out the 2nd Player.

You MOVE your player with LEFT/RIGHT.

you JUMP with UP.

you CROUCH with DOWN (CROUCHING STOP FIREBALL, but PREVENT FROM MOVING).

you FIGHT with 2ND (for TI89) or HAND (FIGHTING increase fastly your ENERGY).

HOLD down the fight button to FIRE (The more you hold it, the stronger the fireball will be)

Fireballs can BOUNCE on the wall as well as player, so be careful when you fire in front of a wall.
The player also BOUNCE against each other.

you can FIRE as long as you have ENERGY.
Your bar of energy is the one at the top right corner of the screen.

If you stay still you RECOVER your ENERGY slowly.

2nd player can be HUMAN/IA/LINK (cf below)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Installation:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This game is directly compatible between TI89-TI92plus-V200 (not tested: TI-Titanium and TI92)

If you have tested an older version of this game, delete the file "xiao\psave" on your TI.

xxs and xxsppg can be anywhere in the calculator
whereas the others PIC files and tgarou.xiao must be in the folder XIAO

Dont forget to archive all the files.

launch xxs to play.

A file "save.save" will be automatically created in the folder XIAO.
It is used for saving your settings in-game such as the configuration of the keys...
If the file tgarou.xiao is moved from the folder XIAO or deleted then delete "save.save" or else
the game will not work properly.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The others keys:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

PLUS/MINUS -> zoom camera (the effect will change if you change the type of camera)
F1 (HOLD it) -> HELP screen
F2 (press it once) -> mode LINK
F3 (HOLD it) + PLUS/MINUS -> change type of CAMERA
F3 (HOLD it) + ARROWS -> move CAMERA (the effect will change if you change the type of camera)
F4 (HOLD it) + PLUS/MINUS -> zoom/desactivate MINIMAP
F4 (HOLD it) + ARROWS -> move MINIMAP
F5 -> change IA
ESC -> QUIT
'(' -> Change TEXTURE of 1st Player (HOLD it for a short while to change the keys of the Player 1)
')' -> Change TEXTURE of 2nd Player (HOLD it for a short while to change the keys of the Player 2)
',' -> Change MAP
BACKSPACE -> show FPS & total amount of memory allocated

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MAPs
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The MAP format is the PIC (PICTURE of the TI).
The PICs you want to use must be in the FOLDER XIAO.
So you can create your own map easily thanks to the "pencil" in the menu graph of the TI
and "save picture" when it's done.
By the way, send me your own map, i will add them to the folder MAP of each new release of this game!
Avoid creating too big PIC or else the game will not work properly owing to the quantity of
memory necessary to create IA stuff (check the memory used in-game thanks to BACKSPACE)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mode Link
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Link the 2 TI calculator with a cable.
Launch the game on both TI calculator.
In one calculator, choose a MAP, then press once F2.
Then, on the other calculator, press once F2.
(the map will be automatically transfered to the 2nd calculator)
Now they should be synchronised.

If you get a "Link ERROR", restart the steps above.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CAMERAS
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There are 4 differents cameras which can be useful depending on the situation in-game:

CAMERA 0: Fixed View
CAMERA 1: View Centered on the first player
CAMERA 2: Multiplayer View
CAMERA 3: Smart View

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MINIMAP
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It is useful to see where you are in the map, and where is your opponant.
To disable the minimap, hold MINUS until the minimap disapear of the screen.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
IA
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There are 3 different IA
OFFENSIF -> CONTACT attacks
DEFENSIF -> REMOTE attacks
IMMOBILE -> for training (be aware of the fact that the IA will still avoid your fireball as much as possible)
NO IA -> play against a HUMAN on the same calculator (hold down '(' or ')' for custom keys)
