Description Complète : >>> PARANOIA: ORIGINAL IDEA BY SAM SHIERLEY <<<
>>> IMPLEMENTED ON TI-89 & TI-92+ BY ZELJKO JURIC <<<

What is this
------------

Paranoia is based on a solo adventure by Sam Shirley in the Jan/Feb 1977 issue
of "SpaceGamer/FantasyGamer" magazine, which in turn is based on the Paranoia
roleplaying game. This is, in fact, a small science fiction story, which flow
depends strongly on your decisions, and which may have three different ends
(only one is happy). It was implemented in C on a Vax 11/780 by Tim Lister.
Just for kicks, I ported it to TI-89 and TI-92 Plus. Some ideas (not present
in the original) are picked from Inform port by Glenn Hutchings.

Requirements
------------

This program is "nostub" program, i.e. it does not require any kernels or
shells (like DoorsOS) for run. If you have AMS 1.xx on your calculator, you
need to transfer only "paranoia.9xz" to the calculator. The same is true if
you have AMS 2.xx with some shells installed on your calculator (like DoorsOS,
TEOS, Universal OS etc.). In this case, simply launch "paranoia()" to run the
program. But, if you have AMS 2.xx without any shells installed, you also need
to transfer small "patch" program named "prnoia2.9xz" on your calc, and launch
"prnoia2()" to run (note that BOTH "paranoia.9xz" and "prnoia2.9xz" must be
present on the calculator in this case).

How to play
-----------

The rules are very simple. Just press 'ENTER' until you are asked to make a
choice. Then select appropriate number for your choice. You may press 'S' at
any time to get a display of your statistics. Also, you may always press 'Q'
or 'ESC' to quit the game. Always choose the least dangerous option. Continue
doing this until you win (or lose). At times you will use a skill on engage in
combat and you will be informed of the outcome. These sections will be self
explanatory. This is not all: other details you will discover by yourself.

As Philo-R-DMD you will die at times during the adventure. When this happens
you will be given a new clone at a particular location. The new Philo-R will
usually have to retrace some of the old Philo-R's path; hopefully he won't
make the same mistake as his predecessor.

To win, simply complete the mission successfully before you expend all six
clones. If you make it, congratulations. If not, you can try again later. Note
that the game depends of some random elements, so on some places game flow
will be different from play to play (however, it is nearly always possible to
win). Once you win, you can try various different paths. Passing different
paths is necessary if you want to bind various parts of the story into a
complete story in your mind.
